云雨幽媾赋

喜清凉之甘霖兮，感皇天之恩泽；增后土之丰美，充缱绻之情怀；
浴兰霭之清芬，濯息壤之肥沃，交明光兮煌煌！
骤雨遽来，步旦夕之节律，任翻覆兮缠绵，见焕然兮顷刻。
令玄黄兮清幽，望芳草兮凝碧。
华之灼灼，感豪雨之灌溉，作凌波之微步。
含苞兮吐葩，或疾或徐，尽声色之妖娆。
踏人生之征途，阅世情之冷暖，迎面兮料峭点点。
御风乎舞雩，惊心而动魄，美哉壮哉，广遨游之以太！
The Reward of Rain
I love the rain, the clear cool rain.
A’falling to the earth;
A magic moisture from above.
That fills my heart with mirth.
It cleanses air, and washes land.
And gustens in the light.
It comes to us most any time,
In midst of day or night.
Sometimes I think 't’will never stop;
Then suddenly it clears
and the results of all its work
So suddenly appears.
The world is clearn. The grass is green.
And flowers seem to dance.
Because the rain, the precious rain,
had given them a chance.
To thrive and grow and even show.
Their color, and their form,
In gentle rain, a gentle rain.
Or torrents of the storm.
I walk in peace, observing all.
with rain upon my face.
For rain reminds me once again,
The world’s a wondrous place.
